  Frequently Asked Questions
  • What does “Reformed” mean?

  • “Reformed” gives us roots in the Protestant Reformation of the 1500’s. The benchmarks of the Reformation were the centrality of Christ, grace, faith, and the Bible. But to be “reformed” also means to be continually re-formed, ever re-forming. So we are deeply rooted, yet also seeking God's new directions.

“Reformed” also refers to our denomination, the Reformed Church in America. You can learn more about the RCA at its website

  • What should I expect on a Sunday morning?

  • Worship begins at 10:00 a.m. Please stay after worship for coffee and conversation in the fellowship hall.

You can enter the buildings from the doors off of either parking lot. Both entrances are handicap accessible.

People dress casually or a little more fancy, as suits their personality and the flukes of Rochester's weather.

Our worship unfolds with rhythms and patterns that convey and celebrate what God has done for us in Jesus Christ. The shape is pretty consistent, but the content varies widely. All of us participate in worship — singing, praying, and reading. Music fills our worship, accompanied by organ, piano, and at times flute, violin, guitars, or drums.
